IGNOU PASSING MARKS

The passing marks for Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) exams vary by program and the type of assignment: 

Undergraduate: The minimum passing score for a BA is 35–40%. 

Postgraduate: The minimum passing score is 40%. 

Diploma: The minimum passing score is 40%. 

Tutor-marked assignments (TMA): Bachelor students must score at least 35 out of 100, while master students need to score 40 out of 100 for each TMA. 

Overall average: Students must maintain an overall average of grade "C" or above to pass the semester and final term. 

Grading: The grading scale for IGNOU is as follows: 

70.00–100.00: First Class with Distinction/First Division with Distinction 

60.00–69.99: First Class/First Division 

50.00–59.99: Second Class/Second Division 

40.00–49.99: Third Class/Third Division/Pass Class
